Eurus Energy completes 18-MW wind plant in Koichi
July 31 (Renewables Now) - Japanese firm Eurus Energy Holdings Corp said today it has held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a 18.37-MW wind park in the prefecture of Koichi.
The Eurus Otoyo Wind Farm is located in the town of Otoyo, Nagaoka district. The plant consist of eight wind turbines with an individual capacity of 2,300 kW. This equipment was supplied by German wind turbine maker Enercon GmbH, the company said.
Eurus Otoyo"s output, which will be sold to Shikoku Electric Power Co Ltd (TYO:9507), is expected to meet the annual power demand of about 10,000 local households and to offset around 23,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year, stated Eurus.
