Eco Power, Hitachi Zosen join forces to build 500-MW offshore wind farm in Japan

Cosmo Energy Holdings Co. Ltd. subsidiary Eco Power Co. Ltd. is joining hands with Hitachi Zosen Corp. to build a 500-MW offshore wind project in Japan, according to a report from reNEWS.
The two companies formed a joint venture, dubbed Aomori Nishikita Offshore Wind Power, to build and operate the wind farm. Once completed, the project would deliver electricity into Japan"s Aomori region, according to the report. The project is expected to come online after 2025.
Tokyo-based Eco Power sells, and operates and maintains wind turbines. Osaka, Japan-based Hitachi Zosen is an industrial and engineering company.
